Resolved: Eyebuydirect - Customer Service Jumps the gun
Money refunded. A portion of the $ was returned immediately after the final call with customer service. The cost of the lenses to be refunded after the items are returned and inspected.
I bought two frames with my new prescription. After a week of wearing them, my eyes still didn't adjust to the lenses. I checked back with my eye doctor who confirmed the lens centering was off. She wrote me a note so that I could get the glasses fixed. Customer service responded basically "no, that's not the problem. what you need is the more expensive lenses." :(
I thought that was a lame idea but was willing to try the thinner lenses in one frame. I just wanted to return the other messed up pair. Results? They double charged me the lens upgrade fee via email, 2 hours before customer service was even open for me to say: "NO! stop." But they did reverse the fee when I contacted help chat at 9am.
Is the problem fixed? No. The thinner lens glasses arrived and they were worse. Frames twisted. Left lens eye-wateringly out of focus. Called up to return them and customer service immediately placed a reorder. Before I even finished talking! And what I was saying was: "No. stop. Refund please. I quit."
It's been a month. I don't have wearable glasses. I have only one of the two return labels I need. And customer service thinks i already got a refund because of the canceling of the accidentally doubled lens upgrade fee! ARGH!!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
